Linelle Hanawahine

Linelle, born and raised on the island of Maui and graduate of Baldwin High School, started her career in travel in 1988 in the hotel industry. She then pursued a travel-focused education and graduated as Valedictorian from her 1989 International Air Academy class. After working in the airline industry for a couple of years, she then moved on to the travel agency industry and never looked back. As a mother of two former Division 1 college athletes, she has experienced first hand the challenges and joys of traveling with large groups. In 2009, she founded Sports Travel Hawaii, specializing in coordinating travel for youth, club, high school and college teams. Linelle is excited to expand beyond STH through the launch of sister company, Love Travel Hawaii. In her free time she enjoys traveling, going to the beach, attending concerts and real estate investing.

Kalei Hanawahine

Kalei has been an avid traveler since his younger days. Playing competitive sports and traveling became a norm growing up in the Hanawahine household. Born on Maui but raised on Oahu and Eugene, Oregon, Kalei is a 2009 graduate of Kamehameha Schools. As a standout baseball player, he attended University of San Diego to play ball, and finished his career at the University of Hawaii graduating with a Bachelors of Science in Political Science and Sociology. After mulling the idea of graduate school, in 2014 Kalei decided to join the family owned business and travel agency Sports Travel Hawaii (STH). He has prospered in his role with STH and has learned many valuable skills of an entrepreneur and small business team member. Kalei is excited to utilize his experience with STH for Love Travel Hawaii. In his freetime Kalei enjoys surfing, live music, watching sports and taking his 3 dogs Boots, Shadow and Bradshaw on walks and to the beach!

Kyra Hanawahine

Kyra is the youngest daughter of the Hanawahine ‘ohana and newest member of the family business. She was born and raised in Hawaii and attended Kamehameha Schools Kapālama for 13 years where she graduated with honors and excelled as an all-state volleyball player. Kyra then moved on to play collegiate volleyball at the University of Oregon and later at University of Hawaii where she graduated with a Bachelors in Psychology. Since graduating in May 2021, she has become a part of Sports Travel Hawaii, and now sister company Love Travel Hawaii. Diving into the travel industry has met Kyra with many new and exciting opportunities. The various skills that she’s learned from being a Division 1 athlete has positively carried over into her career in travel. In her free time, Kyra enjoys working out, traveling, pursuing social media endeavors, and spending quality time with family and friends.
